Hello, everyone!!! It's been a while since I posted an update. So here goes, first I must thank God for his grace and mercy. I have been through so much this past month. March 2011, is one that I always will remember. In the beginning of March, my wife and mom both were in the hospital. Both of them were discharged and doing great. Then March 18th, I get a call that my Dad was found dead....this blew my mind, because my dad was healthy as far as we knew. This was so shocking and heart breaking all at the same time. I had to remain strong for mother, who was still at the time recovering from her recent hospital stay. We spent the next week planning his funeral. He was laid to rest on March 26. With that being said, I would like to thank everyone from my trainer, to the medical staff for being so understanding when I could not make it to trainings or appointments. Please know that I am definitely back, and still working harder than ever to continue to lose this weight, and be healthier for myself and my family.
I did attend my checkup April 7th, and everything for me is looking good. I am 25lbs down. I wish it was a little more, but I will continue to strive for my goal, which is to be under 300lbs by the time this is over.
I wanted to share this information, because I want you to know that you have to stay strong, and continue your journey for a healthier you. No matter what obstacles life may bring, you have to remember that God won't put no more on us than we can bear. May God keep and bless all of you.
Brett, I am so sorry to hear about you father. Your family has been in my prayers. 25 pounds is amazing! Congratulations!

So glad to see your post today; been checking in on your blog. None of the other participants were aware of what was going on until the group meeting last week. We were very sorry to hear of your loss and the other struggles in yours and your family's life right now, but were also very glad to hear that you have still been losing, even without the workouts. You are doing great. Keep up the good work. And you remain in my prayers for better days ahead.
