Hello everyone!! My name is Brett Booker. I am 36 years old. My profession is truck driving that I have enjoyed for the last 14 years. I have struggled with my weight since I was a child. I finally started to see a break through in my mid-20's when I started losing weight with diet and excercise. But when my career started to take off, I was on the road, and anyone who has been a trucker, knows the life. It's eating all times of the day, unhealthy truckstop diners, and no time to excercise, so I started to see the weight come back, and it did with a vengence, lol!! Anywho.... Now life has brought me to this point. Never did I think I would be chosen for this opportunity.
So far, this week I have cut out sweets, sodas, and chips. Also watching my calorie intake, has been a little challenging, but I would tell anyone out there to get The Calorie King Counter, this little book has been a life saver for me. I have started to excercise on my own, at least until I start the REAL work with the trainer.
I am really excited to be apart of the 2011 Shapeup Showdown. I also would like to tell the other participants, good luck, and lets begin the SHOWDOWN!!!!!!!
Hello, Mr. Booker!! This is your wife. I am very proud of you, and supporting you in any way that I can. This is going to be a lifestyle change for us, so this couldn't have come at a better time!!! Wishing you all the success in the world.
Love Always,
Ursula

Hi cousin! I'm so proud of you. I'm know that you're going to do great on this journey. You have the support of your wife and family and we're all confident that you will prevail. I can't wait to see the results and thanks for motivating me too.
Love you much,
Terri

Good for you, Brett. In 2003 I gave up a lot of the foods I like for the same reason you're giving up so many of your favorites. Now, on the rare occasion I do attempt to indulge in one of those, I can't believe I used to like them so much. Many of them, especially soft drinks, taste so nasty that I can't drink one even if I'm thirsty and that's the only thing available. It gets easier and life is a whole lot better smaller! Good luck to you.
