When the coverage goes wall-to-wall, news crews grab a “z” or two whenever they can.
We don’t want to miss anything, so we usually nap in the satellite truck.
That way any rain or wind will wake us up.

It's a constant struggle to keep whipping rain out of our connectors.
A ziplock bag and some duct tape make an easy water-tight bag to protect the cables between live shots.
